MicroWorks, Inc. is a microbiological
consulting, testing, and training firm that was founded on the basis
that pharmaceutical manufacturers and suppliers do not
always have the proper amount of personnel to do all of the
studies that need to be done within the facility. MicroWorks, Inc. has found a market by being a hands-on
consulting firm. We assist companies with completion of
their studies. We don’t just give advice. MicroWorks
personnel actually perform projects for companies, across
many disciplines within the pharmaceutical industry. We
design environmental monitoring plans, analyze data, assist
with investigations and troubleshooting, validate
Microbiology equipment, develop methods and much more.
We now have a 10,000 square foot cGMP compliant laboratory
where we can test routine samples, incubate environmental
monitoring plates, identify isolates and perform detailed
protocols for clients. We specialize in special studies
such as custom designed disinfectant efficacy studies,
challenge studies, preservative effectiveness testing and
validation of new rapid methodologies.
Over the past several years,
MicroWorks has developed a series of training courses and
has taught them throughout the country. We are now offering
hands-on training courses in Environmental Monitoring,
Validation of Microbiology Methods, Aseptic Training,
Microbial Limits, Bioburden and Sterility Testing, Basic
Microbiology and Rapid Microbiological Methods .
We are considered experts in the field
of Environmental Monitoring. We have spent several years
developing an ideal method for swab sampling. We have now
taken that method and improved upon it by packaging the
system in a gamma irradiated package to be used in the clean
room or isolator. This new product is now ready for the
market place. We have validated
the swab product and have published the data in the
Journal of Parenteral Drug Association, April/May 2010
issue.
